Lan Communications Awarded Cisco Managed Services Partner in UK & Ireland at 2008 Annual Partner Summit 
Dublin Ireland, Wednesday, 4th June 2008: Leading network services provider Lan Communications today announced that it has been awarded the 2008 Cisco Managed Services Partner of the Year across the UK and Ireland. The award recognises the company's innovative approach to providing customers such as the Northern Ireland Civil Service with secure and customised managed network services, designed to drive efficiencies and enhance productivity. Cisco unveiled the winners at its 2008 Annual Partner Summit, recently held in Hawaii.
Lan Communications, a subsidiary of eircom, scooped an unprecedented four awards in total, picking up honours for Cisco Gold Partner of the Year, Security Partner of the Year and Outstanding Customer Satisfaction in an Irish context.

The European Cisco Partner Awards are presented to partners who meet a specific set of requirements, which are designed to identify the best channel partner in each category. Cisco has built a formalised process for nominating channel partners in each category. These nominations are reviewed by a collective group that includes Cisco channel executives.
